Hettie the hedgehog is a unique piece of glass art.
I firstly cut and cover the clear sheet glass with brown glass powder and then fire in the kiln.
Then I cut up lots of shards of 3 different colours of glass and then arrange them as spikes on the pre fired hedgehog.
This piece will then be returned to the kiln and fired again to leave a textured finish.
The base will be made from clear glass and the front will have little black feet. Each Hettie will be handmade and may vary slightly from the photos.
Once every piece is fired it will then be attached to the base with a very strong glue and left to dry for 48 hours before being packed and dispatched.
I make these to order although I do sometimes have a spare in stock. Please allow at least 2 weeks for dispatch plus delivery times.
