This really lovely piece resembles the wild poppy fields in the early summer. Little bees and butterflies fluttering around in the warm summer sky give this piece movement and amusement..
The poppies are all made from lovely handmade and pulled murrini cane which I’ve cut into small pieces to represent the poppy flower.
Made from glass frit[crushed glass] in lots of lovely opal and transparent colours and left with a textured finish making this piece very tactile. Each wave is made individually and may vary slightly from each other.
The wave is attached to a 6mm glass plinth giving stability to the piece. Approximately 30cm x 14cm x 6cm.
